AACE (African American Comic Expo) is more than just an event—it’s a movement! As the first-ever Black-led Comic Expo in Birmingham, Alabama, we are celebrating Black excellence in comics, gaming, cosplay, and geek culture.
The Expo
This event is a space where Black creators, artists, and fans come together to share stories, showcase talent, and build community. Whether you're a longtime comic book lover, an aspiring artist, or a cosplay enthusiast, AACE is your place to connect, create, and celebrate the magic of Black storytelling.

What is Cosplay?
Cosplay is a combination of the words 'costume' and 'play'. It is a performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character or idea from a work of fiction.

We’re accepting applications for panel discussions at A.A.C.E! Whether it’s deep-diving into representation in media, exploring the future of Black creatives in comics, or debating the greatest superheroes of all time—we want your voice in the room.
